On behalf of AIR (Architecture Institute Rotterdam), LAGADO architects guided a group of students and professionals from Coventry, UK, around Rotterdam. We zigzagged through the city, focussing on interventions that enhance the inclusivitiy of the city center, like our Westblaak Skatepark. We also visited some post-war icons such as the Lijnbaan area, where we have designed several shops and Vietnamese Streetfood Bar District A .

Just like Rotterdam, Coventry was bombed in the second World War and got rebuilt with modernistic planning principles. AIR and Coventry University research the potential of this specific type of architecture. Later this year, a return visit to the UK is planned. Image by AIR.
