LAGADO architects curated a special route through the Laurenskwartier in Rotterdam, focussing on this piece of urban fabric through the eyes of a skater and translating this vision into design suggestions to activate and stimulate the public space. One of these suggestions, named “ZitZatCity” [fed up with just sitting], will be built: a playful landscape that challenges the conventional mono functional benches at the site and invites its users to sit, relax, skate, play and see the hidden qualities of this leftover space.
