How to increase the volume of an characteristic dikehouse that already has an extention?

 

 

 

by using stealth techniques to visually decrease the presence of the new volume behind the old house.

 

 

 

the angular facade blends nicely with the old roof and gives expression to the split-level staircase under the meetingpoint of the two roof surfaces.

 

 

 

We kept as much as possible from the old extention to which we added a new, higher roofline and we clad everything in a black wooden facade.
